Tracey Shiundu is a passionate STEM education innovator, entrepreneur, and environmental
chemist dedicated to transforming how children across Africa experience science. She is the
Co-Founder and CEO of FunKe Science, a Kenyan-based edtech company that uses interactive
kits, curriculum-aligned digital content, and immersive technologies like AR/VR to make
science learning engaging, inclusive, and locally relevant. Under her leadership, FunKe
Science has reached over 20,000 children, trained 100 teachers, and partnered with 50 schools.

Tracey holds a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Nairobi, a Postgraduate
Diploma in Project Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and
Technology, and is currently pursuing a her MBA at ESMT Berlin.

A recipient of several awards, including the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship and
Top 40 Under 40 Women in Kenya, Tracey is also an advocate for girls in STEM, a trained
swimming coach, and an active member of the Rotary Club of Nairobi Muthaiga North.
